WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!
Our organization would not be a success if not for the many volunteers who donate their time towards helping our students. We ask for volunteers throughout the school year, in a variety of roles and time commitments.
CHAPERONES FOR COMPETITIONS AND TRIPS
We need chaperones for the fall marching band competitions, as well as events such as field trips, contests, Spring Break trips, etc. for all our music department activities. To be a chaperone you need to be fingerprinted by District 214 (more info below) It costs $50 per person and the Music Boosters may be able to reimburse you (we have limited funds each year set aside for this). Please contact Mr. Hile if you are interested in being fingerprinted.
Please note: If chaperones are going to ride with students on buses to an event with the music department, District 214 requires them to be fingerprinted. There are no exceptions. Processing takes a little time, so if you plan on chaperoning any events, you need to let us know now and allow sufficient time to get fingerprinted, processed, and approved.
Only District 214 fingerprinting will be accepted, even if you’ve been fingerprinted by your employer or another school district. Your fingerprint information remains current as long as you do not have a lapse between students attending Rolling Meadows High School, so this is not something that needs to be completed yearly!

Our biggest volunteer need each year is at JAZZ IN THE MEADOWS - so save the date on your calendar each year! Next year's festival is on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 (and it's the 40th Anniversary!)
